Thursday November 9th 7:00pm
Angela Ewing will discuss her novel The Gunpowder Conspiracy

Angela Ewing’s talk will be loosely based on the actual event in England’s history; the Gunpowder Plot/Guy Fawke’s Day which is remembered every year in U.K. on November 5th.

The book is a fictionalized version of a true event in English history, the Gunpowder Plot of 1605. A group of elite Catholics attempted to blow up the House of Lords and Parliament to get rid of King James, who, like Henry VIII, wanted a Protestant England. Lord Mathew Whyte might have changed the history of England if the story were true, but Angela Ewing has woven a tale of mystery around a few extra characters and a modern woman who lives in present day America.
