A recent emigrant from the Applegate Valley, Seth Kaplan lives in Talent with his wife, Lily, his dog, Shayna, and his cat, Sweet Pea. He has recently published Habitat: Unearthing Home with N8tive Run Press and will be reading from it at Bloomsbury Books. His poetry has appeared in RavensPerch, Tokyo Poetry Journal, Jefferson Journal, Cobra Lily, Ashland.News, Good News, The Peralta Press, Oakland Renaissance, Peralta Art & Literary Journal, Open Hand, Sonoma Mandala, and the anthology From the Heart of the Applegate.
Dan Kaufman lives near Jacksonville. His poetry has appeared in Jefferson Journal, Sudden Meteors, Light Rising, Verseweavers, Windfall, Sky Island Journal, Pan/de/mik, Fireweed, Poeming Pigeon, and been recognized by the Oregon Poetry Association and the Southern Oregon Poetry Prize. He also won an orange peeling contest at a bar in Wenatchee in 1968. An aspiring pacifist, Dan facilitates the monthly poetry open-mic at the Talent library.
